5 Strangers
-Refugee Theatre
5 Strangers was the final product of the Speak to Me project, a 12-week series of creative workshops run involving a community of refugees and asylum seekers from the British Red Cross, Dalston’s Day Centre.
''The London Connect Theatre have given our refugee friends a new sense of life's possibilities through this creative project, 5 Strangers. One of the participants described her experience as 'realising a dream she never knew she had'. The LCT have provided a platform for refugees to voice their journeys, whilst instilling in them courage and confidence in their storytelling.'' - Saba Araim, Destitution Activities Coordinator, at the British Red Cross, Hackney Day Centre
